Challenge
The London Business School asked us to create the marketing and event materials around two of their TEDx talks held in London. New student teams were designing unique websites for each year’s talk, which didn’t follow TED brand guidelines, and caused unnecessary work.
Solution
We educated the student marketing teams on the benefits of brand consistency and how to follow the TED brand guidelines. We created a new website that adhered to the guidelines for TEDx talks with sections for unique content around each year’s theme.
The Kaleidoscope event was about seeing the familiar in a new way. The logo we created for the event was inspired by the famous “Gherkin” building in the financial district of London. We took the diamond shapes of the window panes and shifted them as if they shattered. We applied the shifted shapes across the event materials.
The CTRL ALT DEL event was about broken systems in need of change.
Results
The London Business School reported their highest ticket sales with the two consecutive TEDx talks.
