Challenge

ClearBridge Investments needed to differentiate from other investment firms that call themselves active managers, but lack the deep, fundamental research and long view of the market that is at the heart of ClearBridge’s investment philosophy. We also needed to overcome an outdated perception that ESG investments underperform.

Solution

Our brand and ESG campaigns highlight ClearBridge’s authentic active management approach with a bias toward strong, long-held portfolio companies and in-depth knowledge of their companies through ESG-integrated fundamental research and relationships with top management.

Our ESG campaign tapped into real stories internal stakeholders told us about the correlation between strong environmental, social, and governance practices at ClearBridge-owned corporations and good business.

Results

110% increase in advisors seeing ClearBridge as different competitors in a relevant way.

35% increase in understanding of ClearBridge investment philosophy amongst advisors.

“We've seen significant increases among financial advisors in awareness, understanding, and desirability of the ClearBridge brand. Sales are strong, which is the ultimate proof.”
